With an upcoming 10-year-anniversary and a grand opening in their newly renovated building, Threefold sought to revitalize their brand identity for the decades to come. They also desired impactful collateral and merch that would leave a lasting impression on attendees, and symbolize the new chapter for their team, clients, and community.

The Solutions

Our partnership with Threefold began with an exploration of their brand essence and goals. Through collaborative discussions and an immersive workshop, we delved deep into the heart of Threefold’s brand, uncovering insights that would inform our creative approach. 

During the strategy phase, a market analysis was conducted. The market analysis revealed that many companies in Threefold’s industry use common descriptors such as, “production company,” “production agency, and “production studio.” Threefold’s offerings go beyond that of a typical production company, so it was important that that was reflected in their descriptor. Through collaboration with Threefold, we aptly decided on “creative video production house.” This descriptor reflects the all-inclusive nature of Threefold’s services, as well as their ability to complete all phases of production under one roof.

Central to our strategy was the understanding that Threefold’s brand identity is well-known and respected. With that in mind, we decided to make subtle visual adjustments to enhance the brand and set the stage for Threefold’s next decade of success. 

Through market research, it was determined that most production companies rely on black and white as their primary brand colors, paired with minimal design. While black and white are dependable colors, Threefold’s brand personality is better communicated with a variety of hues.

We began by refreshing their existing logo icon and wordmark. This included introducing secondary fonts and color updates that reflected Threefold’s evolution and brand idea of “One Focused Vision from Storyboard to Screen” while maintaining continuity with their established brand identity. The refinements aligned the brand with their current culture and positioned them for national growth and expansion.

Beyond refreshing the brand, we recognized that the new building had potential as a stand-out asset on a national level, as it offers boundless opportunities for clients. This discovery made it evident that the new space needed its own name and identity. Thus “Threefold Factory,” was created to capture the essence of their new innovative environment. This sub-brand showcases Threefold’s commitment to exceptionality, and serves as a unifying element for their physical space and brand identity.

To reinforce Threefold’s culture, we illustrated Threefold Factory in a larger-than-life way. The illustration not only showcases the unique features of the space, but provides the world with a glimpse into Threefold’s dynamic and comprehensive services.

With the launch of their refreshed brand and immersive brand elements, Threefold is poised to attract national attention and usher in a new era of success at Threefold Factory. The open house on April 11th recognized the team’s achievements and celebrated the dawn of an inspiring workspace, where employees are empowered to thrive each day.
